August & September Community Training Opportunities
We have a range of community training opportunities being delivered across the region over the coming months.

Training sessions include:
Mental Health First Aid
LivingWorks safeTALK
DV-Aware

We are committed to delivering accessible training opportunities and are proud to be delivering both community and exclusive courses across all LGAs throughout Gippsland and Cardinia during August and September.
These programs are designed to strengthen community resilience, increase awareness, and contribute to building a suicide-safer region. We would love for you to share this information with your networks and support us in reaching as many community members as possible. Together, we can help create stronger, safer, and more connected communities.

Out of the Shadows Walk 2026

This year, we invite communities across Gippsland to take part in the Out of the Shadows Walk 2026.

You can register as an individual or join as part of a team. Gather your friends, family, colleagues, community groups or workplace and walk together in support of mental health and suicide prevention.

Walk 9km with us, join virtually, or even lead your own walk in your local community.

Together, we can bring mental health out of the shadows and into the light. This day is about remembering those lost to suicide, supporting those facing their own challenges, and reminding everyone that no one has to face their toughest moments alone.

We have been absolutely amazed by the support we've already received from participants this year. Be part of our remarkable community that cares, connects and supports one another.

A national test of AusAlert will take place on Monday 27 July.

The test will send a Critical Alert to all compatible mobile devices across Australia, even if your phone is on silent or 'Do Not Disturb'.

If receiving this alert could impact your safety, please take steps to prepare ahead of time:

Turn your device off or switch it to aeroplane mode one hour before the test.
Keep it off or in aeroplane mode for 24 hours after the test.

L.V Country Line Dancers Midyear Lifeline Ball is happening this Saturday the 26th of July 12pm to 4pm at the Newborough Public Hall. All proceeds raised will go towards supporting Lifeline Gippsland.

This is a great opportunity to have some fun and give back to the community. All skill levels are welcome!

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out the L.V Country Line Dancers for the amazing work they do and the ongoing support for Lifeline Gippsland's crisis support and suicide prevention.
