Donate Clothes and Books, Lifeline Gippsland

Donate clothes, books, homewares and any other items you no longer use to Lifeline Gippsland. Look in the cupboard and donate clothes you no longer wear. Donate books you have already read or have sat on the shelf unread. There are probably numerous items in your home you no longer use or need that would be valuable to an op shop browser.

Visit an op shop and you will see that there are no limits to what op shop clothing is available. People have made browsing for op shop clothes a new trend and often they’re looking for something that’s unique. Clean out your cupboard and see what you have that you’ll never wear again, but might be the op clothing treasure someone has been looking for.

But while we are grateful for donations, please do not donate items in a condition that you would not purchase them yourself. Lifeline Gippsland expects certain standards of the items that we accept so please do not leave things that are damaged, soiled or incomplete. If you donate clothes, books or other items that are sub-standard, our organisation incurs a large cost to dispose of them, taking funds away that could be spent on the important services we offer, such as telephone crisis support and suicide prevention.
