Furniture donation information

Donating furniture to Lifeline Gippsland is a great way to reduce clutter in your own home and might support a family who really needs it.

Before you donate items, please consider that our organisation incurs a large cost to dispose of furniture and items that are unable to be sold—including soiled, broken, incomplete or damaged items—and this takes funds away that would otherwise be spent on the vital service we offer: telephone crisis support and suicide prevention.

So before organising a furniture pick-up or placing something in a donation bin, please ensure that it is suitable to be sold in a shop. Similarly for furniture pick-ups, our collection drivers can refuse to take items that do not meet our standards.

To organise a furniture pick-up, please call the Lifeline Gippsland office on 5136 3500, or submit a request through our web form below.

*Please note that, due to operational demands, we currently cannot book in furniture pick-ups

  • Please note: While we are immensely grateful for the generosity of donors, our drivers are authorised to refuse to pick up items that may pose a Health and Safety risk during removal due to accessibility constraints, and items that do not meet our quality and acceptability criteria. Where necessary, we ask that you have your pets restrained.
