Psychological First Aid Training with Rob Gordon

January 8, 2017

Don’t miss a rare opportunity to take part in this one-day course, delivered by world-renown Clinical Psychologist, Dr Rob Gordon.

Lifeline Gippsland is hosting a day with Dr Rob Gordon to provide training to Lifeline’s own Emergency Response Volunteers and other volunteers and respondents from the local community. The workshop will cover some of the fundamental aspects of disaster recovery and the immediate and longer term effects for those affected by bushfires and other disasters.

A clinical psychologist, Dr Rob Gordon has spent the past 30 years working with people affected by emergencies and disasters. Rob was there in the aftermath of the Bali bombings and Christchurch earthquake, Black Saturday, the Canberra firestorm and, most recently, the Tasmanian bushfires, as well as many other large-scale disasters. He has advised the Red Cross and governments on how to assist individual people and whole communities as they rebuild and recover.
