A Donation from Lifeline Gippsland

July 28, 2017

Lifeline Gippsland were recently approached for specific items to help set up a house for homeless secondary school students in Moe.

Our volunteers absolutely pounced on the opportunity and really got behind the request and effectively gathered so much furniture and general household items that we more than filled the house! It was a wonderful way for our volunteers to ‘feel good’ about being able to help those in need.

A very generous Jessica Pearce who is behind the Helping Homeless project has purchased 4 houses between Geelong and Gippsland to help homeless people – you may have seen the story on the news recently. Lifeline Gippsland were approached by Jessica’s facilitator, Russell Chester, who asked if we could provide outdoor furniture, coffee cups, plates, bedside tables, lamps, a smoke detector, toilet brushes and linen.

We were so pleased to be able to aid another charity who were helping local people in need.
