Urgently seeking shop volunteers in Wonthaggi

August 30, 2017

Lifeline Gippsland is in urgent need of volunteers for its Wonthaggi ‘Op’ Shop. The Graham Street shop has been providing the Wonthaggi and surrounding community with a great range of pre-loved goods for over 15 years now and we want to continue to do so.

Currently we are looking for a Shop Coordinator and shop volunteers to assist with the running of the Wonthaggi shop so that we can increase our hours of operation.

We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to give-up a few hours a week of their time to help out. Previous retail experience is not necessary as all training will be provided. Volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn new skills and give something back to the community!

Lifeline Gippsland receives only 12% state government funding and our shops are a significant income stream for our organisation. All monies raised contribute considerably towards the cost of providing our 24-hour Telephone Crisis Line 13 11 14, the Connect Call Back Service and other vital programs that help our Gippsland community each year.

If you are able to help or would like any further information please call Lifeline Gippsland on 5136 3500 or drop into the Wonthaggi shop.
