The Opportunity

About The WES

Delivered by Lifeline Gippsland, in partnership with the Latrobe Health Assembly, The WES provides a welcoming and safe space for anybody 16 years and over who may be experiencing mental health concerns, emotional distress or feeling socially isolated. The WES operates outside traditional hours because we recognise that mental health concerns are not nine-to-five.

Recently launched, the space provides a therapeutic space that is non-threatening, non-clinical, warm and responsive that offers support and linkages through contact with peer support workers and you, the Mental Health Clinician. This service will also provide support to families and carers.

You can visit The WES landing page if you’d like to see more of the space. To meet our wonderful Peer Support Workers, you can visit The WES Facebook page.

A community-led, co-design approach has informed this initiative and is guided by an amazing group of people with lived experience. Maintaining engagement with existing partners and identifying new stakeholders will be key to the success of this model.

Job share is available and encouraged to support work-life balance.
