About the role
As the Transport and Logistics Assistant you will be responsible for providing an exceptional experience to the customers and donors in our community, collecting and/or delivering furniture donations, supporting and servicing our five shops across Gippsland, collections of excess donations and delivery of rags to customers. As the Transport and Logistics Assistant you will be hands on working with our amazing volunteer team and championing a high level of customer service in our community.
Who are we looking for?
Lifeline Gippsland is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Transport and Logistics Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives working independently, takes initiative, and is committed to providing excellent service to both our internal teams and the wider community we support.
As a key part of our retail and logistics operations, you’ll be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading donated goods and furniture, as well as assisting with the movement of items across our stores and warehouse. Physical fitness and the ability to manage heavy lifting are essential, as is the capacity to drive for extended periods. This position involves operating a 3.5 tonne truck, which can be driven on a standard car licence.
